Sweet baby Rylie was baptized at White's Chapel on Mother's Day, and we all enjoyed going to the service and then lunch at Allison's and Steve's home. Rylie had been sick all week, so she was not too smiley for the pictures, but she sure did look beautiful! Allison had a delicious lunch spread with brisket, potato salad, my Mom's famous Texas beans, and the most delicious macaroni and cheese I have ever eaten! Lily always loves looking at pictures or videos of "baby," and Frankie is so sweet and protective of his baby cousin. I can't wait until Rylie is a little bit older so they can run around and play together.

Life lately
We have had tons of rain in Dallas this spring, which has unfortunately kept us out of the pool, but we have still managed to spend plenty of time outside swinging and running. One of Frankie's favorite things to do is swing and listen to music on my phone. He always requests the same two songs: "God Made Girls" and "Shake it Off." Lily always requests the "Boom Boom" song (Drunk on you by Luke Bryan). We have also been eating plenty of popsicles! In our house, summer = popsicle time.
A few weeks ago we enjoyed a fun trip to the zoo with Astyn and Bennett! Frankie and Bennett get along so well, and I am so happy we still get to see them often even though we no longer live practically next door.
We continue to tackle house projects, some fun and some not-so-fun. We replaced 13 windows on the back and side of the house, and we are thrilled with the results. We are probably going to replace the rest of the windows - we have a total of 34 - within the next year. We also just replaced the floors in our kitchen, laundry room, half bath, and back hallway. We matched the wood that covers the rest of our downstairs in the kitchen, bath, and hallway and did a fun herringbone slate floor in the laundry room. I love how it turned out!
Frankie just finished his first season of soccer. Most of the games this season were rained out, so I felt like he never really got a chance to play much and get into the game. He was not a huge fan, and it was a battle to get him to get dressed and go to the games. But he was very excited about the medal he received at the end of the season!
Liliana is having a language explosion, and she seems to learn a new word every single day. Today, her new word is "yuck!" I am sure she learned that one from her brother. She is so different than Frankie is. *Fingers crossed* she almost never throws tantrums. If she gets upset, frustrated, or irrational, she responds very well to firm redirection or simple discipline. She is so different from Frankie, who has always fought us on everything. She has a huge heart and she gives the biggest hugs and kisses every day when I get home from work. She idolizes her bubba.
Frank and I went to a wedding a few weeks ago, and it was so nice to get all dressed up and get away for a few hours. I have been very diligently following the Piyo workout schedule for the last six weeks, and I am thrilled with the results. I feel so much stronger, more flexible, and more fit than I have in at least 3 years.

Frankie's spring school program
Frankie had his spring school program a couple of weeks ago, and Auntie Allison and baby Rylie joined Lily and I at the church to watch the big performance. As shy as Frankie can be sometimes, he is always "on" in front of an audience. He was smiling so big, singing loud, and making grandiose hand motions during the two songs he performed with his class. After the performance, we enjoyed lemonade and cookies, shopped at the school book fair, and walked through the art show where they displayed art the kids created throughout the year. Frankie loves music, art, and science. He is a very creative little boy, and it was nice to see him so proud of himself. I continue to absolutely love his preschool. I am so happy we were able to enroll him in a school like this so that he can learn, create, and strengthen his love of the Lord.

Mother's Day
I am so thankful that God chose me to be Frank and Liliana's mama. I cherish my children, and the time I spend with them is more precious than anything. I love being their mama, even though it is the toughest job in the world. I love my babies to the moon and back, even though they refused to take a picture with me today.
Frankie was so excited to give me all the mother's day crafts he made at school and with Ms. Kiersten. The kids made me cards, a beautiful hand/foot print sign, picture cubes, and hand painted coffee mugs! Frank surprised me with my favorite chocolate and some new sunglasses. Both Franks cooked a wonderful breakfast and another wonderful dinner. I got to see my beautiful niece get baptized, and spend the day with my whole family. It was a wonderful day.
