Seaside vacation 2014

We returned Saturday from another wonderful week in Seaside, Florida.  This is our third vacation to Seaside/Watercolor, and we always have an amazing time.  We simply love this area.  We rented the same townhouse we stayed in last summer, right on the beach, about a mile outside of Seaside.  Ms. Kiersten flew out on Sunday and helped out for the week, which was great.  We enjoyed tons of beach time (Miss Lily LOVES the beach), pool time, cooking out on the deck, and watching beautiful sunsets.  Frank and I were able to go for daily morning runs together, afternoon outings during nap time, and two date nights.  We also took Frankie on a special outing to Panama City Beach to go on the pirate cruise and go out to dinner.  It was awesome having Kiersten available to help us make that day extra special for Frankie.  And it was also awesome having her double as a photographer to help take family photos.

Lily loved the sand--playing in the sand, crawling toward the ocean, and eating the sand.  She would get sand all over her face, and it did not phase her.  She also loved being in the ocean.  Frankie doesn't care too much about the sand, but he LOVES the ocean.  The water was pretty rough the first couple of days we were there, and Frankie got to ride the waves on a boogie board, which he loved.  He also got to snorkel and swim later in the week when the water was crystal clear and as calm as a lake.  I think he had a great vacation, but he will tell you that his favorite part was getting to clean the house.

While we were in Seaside we were able to visit the townhouse my parents bought, which is only half a mile down the beach from where we usually stay.  They are set to close on the townhouse this week, and I am so excited that we will have a guaranteed place to stay for vacations in years to come!

Here are way too many vacation pics...

Liliana's milestones

Sweet Liliana had a big week!  She has mastered pulling up, standing up by herself, climbing stairs, and waving "hi" and "bye!"  She is also finally consistently saying "Mama" and knowing it means me. I am so proud of my baby girl!  She is also trying to take steps when standing up while holding on to someone's hands or furniture.  I am so relieved.  I think she will probably be walking in the next month or so.  We have her physical therapy assessment scheduled for this week, but I think I am going to cancel it, since she has made so much progress in the last couple of weeks.  I am so proud of you baby girl!!

Baby Rylie is here!

My niece baby Rylie Grace is here!  Allison was due on Saturday, but sweet Miss Rylie was simply not ready to be born until today.  She was born at 1:29 p.m., weighed 7 lbs, 7 ounces, and was 20.25 inches.  She has brown hair and blue eyes, and she looks like a little princess!  I took Frankie and Lily up to the hospital this afternoon to meet her, and she was precious.  We saw her get her first bath, but then she promptly fell asleep and slept the entire time we were there so I did not get to hold her :(  Allison is doing great, and I am so excited that we are moving closer so that Lily and Rylie will be able to grow up together!  You are already so loved, little Rylie!

Fire trucks and airplanes!

Last weekend Frank took Frankie up to the DFW Airport fire station where our friend Jayson works as a firefighter.  Frankie had a blast!  He got to ride in the fire truck, see big airplanes up close, and tour the fire station.  Here are a few pics:

August = exciting month!

It is finally August!  This month, we have a TON of exciting stuff going on.  In August:

(1) I start my new job;
(2) We will close on our current home;
(3) My sister will have baby Riley;
(4) We go on vacation for a week in Seaside, Florida;
(5) We close on our new home; and
(6) We move into our new home!

It will be chaotic.  It will be stressful.  But, it will be so worth it once we make it to labor day weekend.
