Mommy & me
I have also been getting out and about with Frank a bunch this week. On Monday I took him with me to the dentist, and yesterday I took him with me to my postpartum doctor's appointment. Good news--everything at the doctor looks great! Bad news--I still have 10 pregnancy pounds to lose. We also went over to Amanda's house yesterday for a playdate with her sweet 8-month old daughter Lucy. Frank did so well while we were over there and was not fussy at all! He has been much less fussy this week in general, which has been a great blessing. I am really enjoying getting to spend so much quality time with my son, and I know that I will miss this a lot when I go back to work.
Here are a few pics I took this morning of Frank playing on his rainforest playmat in his cute new monkey outfit from Aunt Allison:

29th Birthday
My sister flew into town later that day, and she, Frank, baby Frank and I went out for pizza dinner without the rest of my family. We have been going out to pizza for my birthday for almost 20 years now, so it was sad that the rest of my family could not make it. We ended up meeting up with Lindsey and Brian and having a great time. Thankfully, the pizza place served champagne! Baby Frank was a sweet angel at dinner. I was blessed to be able to spend my special day with my baby boy! I did not get birthday cake or any birthday dessert on my birthday, but my sister made me a special cake the next night that we all ate when we went to my grandparents' house for dinner. Since Mammy's birthday is on Christmas day, we had a ton of cake around our house all week--yummy!!
I am so excited and happy about all of the things in my life right now, and I feel lucky to have accomplished so much before I turn 30. I am so excited for this year and all of the new adventures that await!
Baby's First Christmas
We spent Christmas afternoon with my parents, my brother, and Frank's great grandparents. He got to meet his great grandma Mammy for the first time, which was very special. He got lots of great presents from Mommy, Daddy, Uncle Tyler, Aunt Allison, great Uncle Andy, many of our wonderful friends, all of his grandparents, and all of his great grandparents. My mom cooked a wonderful turkey dinner that we all enjoyed on Christmas evening, and we had cake to celebrate Mammy's birthday. It was a wonderful, but exhausting day! I know that Christmas will be so much more special now that we get to celebrate with our baby boy.
Here are some pictures from Christmas at our house and with my family:
